This piece was the first in my full metal jacket series and was made for a western show at my art collective, Courtyard gallery. It tells the story of a "bandit" catching her prey out in the wilderness. After some whiskey and a chat she decides to let him go and they ride off into the moonlit desert in his truck.
Natural State

this piece was also for the western show. The cutouts in the shelf were all native and natural which gave me the idea for the title "Natural State". The title made think me of the untouched beauty of yellowstone so i used a reference photo of bison that i took on one of my trips there.
Bite
24 x 36
Gouache and acrylic on wood with reclaimed metal shelf
$1,200
sold - private collection
This was my last piece for the western show. The scorpion tail in one of the cutouts immediately gave me the idea for the title "bite". Bite makes me think of harsh environments and danger which led to the imagery of the cacti, coyotes and tequila bottle with the hot cheeto nails.
